Cyclone
Club |
The Cyclone Wrestling
Club is hosted by Iowa State University and it welcomes all Middle
School and High School Wrestlers in the surrounding area. The club will
focus on Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling techniques, live wrestling,
and other aspects of wrestling. |

Heavy Lift |
Heavy lifting (3-8 reps) focusing on building strength and quickness.
Athletes not recommended to lift heavy the day before a competition. |

Conditioning |
Hard conditioning is focussed on building mental toughness. These workouts
will be under one-hour with the focus to maintain the highest level of
intensity throughout. Examples of workouts include: running stairs, short
and long sprints, plyometrics, buddy carries, and various footwork drills. |

| Tournament |
Throughout the Spring and Summer many weekend tournaments and camps
will be held. These tournaments can be Folkstyle, Freestyle, or Greco-Roman.

Please note this Spring schedule is optional. This is a suggested workout
schedule that Volunteer Coach Andorf has put together and will try and follow
this Spring and Summer. This schedule will help athletes perform at the highest
level in the sport of wrestling. This schedule is not directly connected to
Ames High School or the Ames High Wrestling program. Optional times and locations
are avaiable. For any questions on creating your own schedule or in participating
